The EX-9588END series Embedded Internet/Ethernet Controllers, are made for embedded communication applications. It can be used as addressable Ethernet to RS-232/485/422 Internet/Ethernet Controller. We offer a wide range Ethernet communication controllers, with 1 up to 8 RS232 channels and 1 RS485 channel. You can assign a unique IP-address to each EX-9188END and a inique address to each RS232 port. This makes it possible to send and receive data transparent to each RS232 device connected on one of the ports of the EX-9188END. The host-PC can send commands with device address over the Ethernet network. The EX-9188EVD will remove the address field & pass the other fields of command to one of the local RS-232 ports. The response of the RS-232 device will be passed to host-PC. The use is transparent to the user. The EX-9188END enables any device with a serial communication port to cummunicate over TCP/IP Ethernet. A VxComm Driver creates COM port(s) on the host PC and maps them to the ethernet port(s) of the EX-9188END. The existing RS-232 client programs need only to change to the different COM port to get the access of serial devices that are allocated in the Internet or Ethernet network via the EX9188END.
